It’s out of the gowns for recent La Cage Aux Folles star Christopher Sieber and back into the tuxedo!

The two-time Tony Award nominee will return to the role of lawyer Billy Flynn in the Tony Award-winning Broadway revival of the long-running musical Chicago at the Ambassador Theatre on Tuesday, December 25. He takes over from multi-platinum recording artist Billy Ray Cyrus, who concludes his limited engagement on Sunday, December 23.

The show, which features a score by John Kander and Fred Ebb, is directed by Walter Bobbie. It stars Amy Spanger as Roxie Hart, Amra-Faye Wright as Velma Kelly, Raymond Bokhour as Amos Hart, and Carol Woods as Matron “Mama” Morton. It recently celebrated its 16th anniversary.

Sieber first played the role of Billy in 2004. He has received Tony Award nominations for his work in Shrek and Monty Python’s Spamalot. He most recently played the role of Georges in the Broadway revival of La Cage Aux Folles, before taking on the role of drag performer Albin/Zaza in the show’s national tour with George Hamilton. His other Broadway credits include Thoroughly Modern Millie, Into the Woods, Beauty and the Beast, and Triumph of Love.
