In the Heights

Original cast members Christopher Jackson and Seth Stewart will return to the Broadway production of the musical In the Heights, at the Richard Rodgers Theatre, joining the previously reported star Lin-Manuel Miranda for the musical’s final weeks. The show is scheduled to close on January 9, 2011.
Stewart, who plays Grafitti Pete, will rejoin the cast on Monday, December 6, while Jackson, who plays Benny, will re-join the cast on December 20. Miranda re-joins the company on December 25.
The show is directed by Thomas Kail, with choreography by Andy Blankenbuehler, and features music and lyrics by Lin Manuel Miranda, and a book by Quiara Alegría Hudes.
The musical focuses on the tight-knit community at the top of the island of Manhattan and the hopes and dreams of three generations as they struggle to forge an identity in a neighborhood on the brink of transition.
