One Year Lease Theater Company will present the New York premiere of Stockholm by Bryony Lavery from March 5-29 at 59E59 Theaters, with an opening night set for March 12. Nick Flint directs.
Christina Bennett Lind and Richard Saudek star in the play, which explores a love so passionate it has become a prison. Stockholm peels back the skin of a dangerous romance to reveal dark truths.
The production features music by Estelle Bajou, set design by James Dardenne, lighting design by Mike Riggs, costume design by Kenisha Kelly. Natalie Lomonte movement directs.
The Broadway run of Bryony Laverly's play Frozen was nominated for four Tony awards, and the play is currently being adapted for film. Stockholm toured the U.K. before a run at London's Hampstead Theatre in May 2008. Among her other plays are Helen and Her Friends, Bag Family Album, Missing, Calamity, and Origin of the Species.
