Hunter Foster directs the classic musical at Bucks County Playhouse.
Casting has been announced for the Bucks County Playhouse production of 42nd Street, directed by Hunter Foster and choreographed by Jeremy Dumont. Performances begin June 29, with the run scheduled to conclude on August 4.
Featured in the principal cast are Tessa Grady as Peggy Sawyer, Linda Balgord as Dorothy Brock, Ruth Gottschall as Maggie Jones, Matt Walton as Julian Marsh, and Blakely Slaybaugh as Billy Lawlor.
The ensemble comprises Kilty Reidy, Cliff Bemis, Patrick Oliver Jones, Monette McKay, Matt Bauman, Andrew Hodge and Brianna Marie Latrash. Alyssa Gardner, Daisy Wright, Sean Bell, Darrell T. Joe, Kurtis Bradley Brown, Jonathan Bryant, Erica Ito, Joshua Keen, Nevada Koenig, Allison Wiatrowski, Michael O'Hara, and Kathryn Priest.
The creative team includes Anna Louizos (scenic design), Kirk Baran-Bookman (lighting design), Nicole Moody (costume design), Jared Janas (hair and wig design), Bart Fasbender (sound design), and Will Shuler (musical director).
With a book by Michael Stewart and Mark Bramble, music by Harry Warren, and lyrics by Al Dubin, and based on the 1933 Busby Berkeley movie musical, 42nd Street tells the story of a starry-eyed young actress who comes to New York to audition for a Broadway musical.
