Terrence McNally’s star-packed comedy is led by Matthew Broderick and Nathan Lane.
The star-studded Broadway revival of Terrence McNally's It's Only a Play will offer a limited number of $37 student rush tickets during preview performances through October 8. One ticket per customer can be purchased with a valid student ID at the box office on the same day of the performance. The comedy begins performances tonight, August 28, at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre.
McNally's comedy about life on Broadway stars Academy Award winner F. Murray Abraham (The Threepenny Opera), two-time Tony winner Matthew Broderick (Nice Work If You Can Get It), Tony winner Stockard Channing (Other Desert Cities), two-time Tony winner Nathan Lane (The Nance), Emmy winner Megan Mullally (Annapurna), and Rupert Grint (the Harry Potter film series) and Micah Stock in their Broadway debuts.
Broderick leads the cast as Peter Austin, a playwright suffering through the opening-night festivities of his Broadway debut. Lane appears as James Wicker, Peter's insecure pal, with Mullally as producer Julia Budder, Grint as director Frank Finger, Channing as actress Virginia Noyes, Abraham as theater critic Ira Drew, and Micah Stock as coat-check attendant Gus. Jack O'Brien directs.
