Broadway's Back! Shows to Resume Performances After New York Blizzard
All Broadway shows will resume performances on Sunday, January 24, The Broadway League has announced. Performances on January 23 were canceled due to a blizzard that dumped more than two feet of snow on New York City.
"The show must go on," said Broadway League President Charlotte St. Martin in a statement, "especially for the large percentage of our audience who come in from out of town to see a Broadway show and we don't want to disappoint them. As always, the safety and security of theatergoers and employees is everyone's primary concern."
January 24 marks both the closing date of Michael Arden's revival of Spring Awakening and Matthew Morrison's final performance as J.M. Barrie in Finding Neverland.
