Broadway veteran and television mainstay John Stamos will star in a yet-untitled pilot for the Fox network from Danny Chun and Dan Fogelman.

Stamos will play a perennial bachelor whose life is altered when he discovers he has a child and grandchild. No additional information about the show and Stamos' fellow cast members have been revealed.

Along with his longtime run as Uncle Jesse on the television series Full House, Stamos has appeared on Broadway several times. He made his Broadway debut as J. Pierrepont Finch in a revival of the musical How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. He also appeared as the Emcee in Roundabout Theatre Company's revival of Cabaret and as Albert Peterson in the company's revival of Bye Bye Birdie. Most recently he played Senator Joseph Cantwell in a revival of Gore Vidal's The Best Man.
