Broadway-Bound Jagged Little Pill and Moulin Rouge! Earn IRNE Nominations

The honors are presented by the Independent Reviewers of New England.

The Boston productions of Broadway-bound Jagged Little Pill and Moulin Rouge! The Musical have earned several IRNE Award nominations, an honor presented by the Independent Reviewers of New England.

Moulin Rouge! earned Best Musical and Best New Musical nominations, as well as nominations for its set (Derek McLane), costumes (Catherine Zuber), lighting (Justin Townsend), sound (Peter Hylenski), choreography (Sonya Tayeh), musical director (Cian McCarthy), director (Alex Timbers), and stars Aaron Tveit, Karen Olivo, and Danny Burstein.

Jagged Little Pill earned Best Musical and Best New Musical nominations, too, with additional nods for sound (Jonathan Deans), ensemble, musical direction (Bryan Perri), direction (Diane Paulus), and stars Lauren Patten and Elizabeth Stanley.

Additional acting nominees include Broadway vets Constantine Maroulis (Jekyll & Hyde at the North Shore Music Theater), Clyde Alves (An American in Paris at the Ogonquit Playhouse), Diana DeGarmo (Jekyll & Hyde at the North Shore Music Theater), Hal Linden (Grumpy Old Men at the Ogonquit Playhouse, Karen Pittman (The White Card at A.R.T./ArtsEmerson), John Douglas Thompson (Man in the Ring at the Huntington Theatre), Michael James Scott (for the Aladdin tour), and many others.
