The Old Globe has announced casting for Ken Ludwig's The Gods of Comedy, running May 11-June 16, directed by Amanda Dehnert.

Jessie Cannizzaro, Steffanie Leigh, Jevon McFerrin, Keira Naughton, Brad Oscar, George Psomas, and Shay Vawn will star in the production, returning to roles they originated earlier this year at the McCarter Theatre Center. The creative team will include Jason Sherwood (scenic designer), Linda Roethke (costume designer), Brian Gale (lighting designer), Darron L. West (sound designer), Carissa Thorlakson (wig designer), Jim Steinmeyer (special effects designer), and Ellenore Scott (choreographer).

Ludwig's play is described as follows: "A young Classics professor puts her career — and her love life — in peril, and calls on the gods of Ancient Greece to save her. Things don't go according to plan when the gods who show up are The Gods of Comedy!"
