Barrington Stage Company Announces 2015 Season Casting

Barrington Stage Company has announced casting for its upcoming 2015 summer season.

The regional premiere of Richard Strand's Butler, directed by Joseph Discher, will be the first production on the St. Germain Stage. The play will star David Schramm (Finian’s Rainbow) as Major General Benjamin Butler, Ben Cole as Lt. Kelly, Maurice Jones as Shepard Mallory, and John Hickok (BSC’s Pool Boy) as Major Cary. Performances will run from May 14-June 13, with an official May 17 opening.

Opening the season on the Boyd-Quinson Mainstage will be Man of La Mancha, running from June 10-July 11 with an official June 14 opening. As previously announced, Broadway vets Jeff McCarthy (Urinetown) and Ed Dixon (Anything Goes) will star as Don Quixote and the Innkeeper, respectively. Joining the cast are Felicia Boswell (Motown The Musical) as Aldonza/Dulcinea, Tom Alan Robbins (The Lion King) as Sancho, Tony nominee Meg Bussert (Brigadoon) as the Housekeeper, Todd Horman as the Padre/Capt of Inquisition, Sean MacLaughlin as Dr. Carrasco/Duke, Rosalie Burke as Antonia, Chris Ramirez as Pedro, Lexi Janz as Fermina/Gypsy dancer, Jonathan Spivey as the Barber, and Parker Krug, Reed Luplau, Louie Napoleon, Lyonel Reneau, and Joseph Torello as the muleteers. Julianne Boyd directs, with choreography by Greg Graham.

Conor McPherson’s Shining City will then run from June 18-July 12, with a press opening set for June 21. Directed by BSC Associate Artist Christopher Innvar, the production stars Mark H. Dold (BSC’s Breaking the Code) as Ian and John Carroll Lynch (American Horror Story: Freak Show) as John, Patrick Ball as Laurence, and Deanna Gibson as Neasa.
