
Barbra Streisand’s newest CD, What Matters Most – Barbra Streisand Sings The Lyrics of Alan And Marilyn Bergman, will be released August 23. The album will be available in both regular and deluxe editions from Columbia.
The standard disc will feature such songs as the Academy Award-winning song “The Windmills of Your Mind,” “So Many Stars,” “Nice ‘n’ Easy,” and “That Face.” The deluxe edition of the recording will include ten additional, previously released performances of Streisand singing Bergman classics like “The Way We Were,” “You Don’t Bring Me Flowers,” “Papa Can You Hear Me?” and “Pieces of Dreams.”
Streisand appeared on Broadway in I Can Get It For You Wholesale and Funny Girl. Her films include Funny Girl, Funny Lady, Yentl, and Nuts. She has won the Oscar, Grammy, and Emmy Awards, a special Tony Award, and is a recipient of the Kennedy Center Honor.
