Ava DeMary and Jeanette Bayardelle Will Join the Cast of Heathers the Musical

Ava DeMary and Tony Award nominee Jeanette Bayardelle will join the cast of Heathers the Musical on June 24 at New World Stages.

DeMary will play the role of Heather McNamara, taking over for Elizabeth Teeter, who will play her final performance on June 21. Bayardelle will play Ms. Fleming/Veronica’s Mom, taking over for Lisa Ann Walter, who will play her final performance on June 22.

Ava DeMary makes her off-Broadway debut in Heathers, after having performed on Broadway in Evita, Billy Elliot: The Musical, and the original Broadway cast of Matilda. Bayardelle was in the original Broadway casts of The Color Purple and Girl From The North Country, which earned her a Tony nomination for Best Featured Actress in a Musical.

Heathers also currently stars Isabella Esler as Veronica Sawyer, John Cardoza as Jason “J.D.” Dean, Zan Berube as Heather Chandler, Jackera Davis as Heather Duke, Erin Morton as Martha Dunnstock, Chris Marsh Clark as Ram Sweeney, Cade Ostermeyer as Kurt Kelly, Adam Bashian as Ram’s Dad/Big Bud Dean/Coach Ripper, and Jimmy Ray Bennett as Kurt’s Dad/Veronica’s Dad/Principal Gowan.

The cast also features Sara Al-Bazali, Thalia Atallah, Emma Benson, James Caleb Grice, Louis Griffin, Devin Lewis, Kiara Michelle Lee, Syd Sider, and Cecilia Trippiedi.
