True Blood‘s Chris Bauer and Tony nominee Da’Vine Joy Randolph are part of the featured cast in the world premiere of Melissa James Gibson‘s What Rhymes with America. Daniel Aukin will direct this Atlantic Theater Company production at the company’s main stage Linda Gross Theater, November 19-December 30, with an opening on December 12.

Bauer stars as Detective Andy Bellefleur on HBO’s True Blood and is also known for his role as union boss Frank Sobotka on The Wire. He is an Atlantic ensemble member, who has appeared in the company’s productions of The Night Heron, Parlour Song and Mojo. He made his Broadway debut in A Streetcar Named Desire, for which he was nominated for an Outer Critics Circle Award.

Carrero, who is making her Off Broadway debut, currently stars on the Cartoon Network live-action series Level Up. Kofoed last appeared on the Atlantic stage in The Bald Soprano and her Broadway credits include Proof and Night Must Fall. Randolph received a 2012 Tony Award nomination for Best Performance by a Featured Actress in a Musical for her Broadway debut performance in Ghost.
