The soundtrack for Disney’s Princess and the Frog will be released on November 23, according to Amazon.com. Academy Award winner Randy Newman has provided the original songs for the movie which features the vocal talents of Anika Noni Rose, Keith David, and Jenifer Lewis.

On the 17-track disc, Rose performs “Down in New Orleans” and “Almost There” as solos along with “When We’re Human” where she joins Michael Leon-Wooley, Bruno Campos, and featured trumpeter Terence Blanchard.

Princess and the Frog is a modern twist on a classic tale, featuring a beautiful girl named Tiana, a frog prince who desperately wants to be human again, and a fateful kiss that leads them both on a adventure through the mystical bayous of Louisiana.

Rose’s Broadway credits include Caroline, or Change and Cat on a Hot Tin Roof. She may be best known, though, for her turn as Lorrell Robinson in the movie version of the musical Dreamgirls.
