Aladdin Composer Alan Menken Reflects on Writing With Lyricists Chad Beguelin and the Late Howard Ashman

Aladdin invites audiences behind the scenes once again, this time for a heartfelt conversation with Tony-winning composer Alan Menken. Menken discusses collaborating with his beloved original Aladdin writing partner Howard Ashman as well as the show's book writer, Chad Beguelin.

Aladdin began performances at the New Amsterdam Theatre on February 26 and has an opening night scheduled for March 20. The classic Alan Menken, Howard Ashman, and Tim Rice score features songs such as "Friend Like Me" and the Academy Award-winning "A Whole New World''.
