Obie Award winner Daniel Aukin ([sic]) directs the new play, which stars True Blood cast member Chris Bauer as Hank, a father struggling to forge a bond with his sixteen-year-old daughter Marlene (played by Aimee Carrero, of the TV series Level Up). Along the way, he finds kinship with aspiring actress Sheryl (played by 2012 Tony Award nominee Da’Vine Joy Randolph) and out-of-work writer Lydia (Seana Kofoed, of the Atlantic’s The Bald Soprano).
Guests at the opening night performance included Atlantic Theater Company staffers Neil Pepe (Artistic Director), Jeffory Lawson (Managing Director), and Mary McCann (Executive Director of the Atlantic Acting School), actors Chester Gregory (Sister Act) and Patch Darragh (Atlantic’s upcoming The Jammer), and composer-lyricist Amanda Green (Broadway’s upcoming Hands on a Hardbody), and Atlantic playwright alums Annie Baker (Body Awareness) and Adam Rapp (Dreams of Flying Dreams of Falling).
