A Brilliant Close to Steep Theatre Company’s 14th Season

Brilliant Adventures begins its run tonight at Steep Theatre. Main character Luke’s invention, created in his run-down apartment, could change the world. Luke, however, doesn’t believe the world is ready for his device. This doesn’t stop an opportunistic outsider from arriving with the hopes of taking the design and Luke’s apartment. As the plot unfolds, Luke’s friends and family, as well as the universe at large, could be torn apart.

Brilliant Adventures is written by Alistair McDowall and directed by Robin Witt. The cast comprises Peter Moore as Ben, Curtis Edward Jackson as Luke, Ty Olwin as Luke, Brando Rivera as Greg, Ryan McBride as Rob, and Will Kinnear as Man.

"There are no rules in theatre," according to writer Alistair McDowall. "You can do anything. Whatever rules there are, you can break them – immediately if you want to."

The creative team includes Dan Stratton (set design), Jessica Kuehnau Wardell (costume design), Brandon Wardell (lighting design), Thomas Dixon (sound design and original composition), Christina Gorman (fight choreography), and Maria DeFabo (prop design).

Performances will run through August 15.
