The Public Theater has announced a second extension for its world premiere production of Why Torture Is Wrong, And The People Who Love Them, which will now run through May 10.

The play, directed by Nicholas Martin, is about America’s growing homeland ‘insecurity’ and tells the story of a young woman who wonders if her new husband is a terrorist. The cast includes Amir Arison, David Aaron Baker, Laura Benanti, Audrie Neenan, Kristine Nielsen, John Pankow, and Richard Poe.

The first extension week will include a special performance Monday, April 27 at 8 p.m., and no performance Tuesday, April 28. The remainder of the run will follow the standard performance schedule: Wednesday through Friday at 8 p.m., Saturday at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m., and Sunday at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.
