Musical theater composer-lyricist Shaina Taub's acclaimed solo album, Die Happy, which debuted exclusively on Bandcamp earlier this year, is now available on iTunes and Amazon beginning today.

Described as both overtly political and incredibly personal, Die Happy is Taub's second studio album and features 12 original songs, ranging from protest anthems to intimate ballads. Taub coproduced Die Happy with bandmate Mike Brun and Dean Sharenow of Steel Cut Audio at Vibromonk Studios in Brooklyn. The tracks feature her longtime core band Brun, Hiroyuki Matsuura, and David Farrell Melton, as well as an ensemble of horn, wind, and string players, and a large choir made up of friends and collaborators.

Taub is currently starring in the Public Theater's Shakespeare in the Park presentation of a reimagining of Public Works' musical adaptation of Shakespeare's Twelfth Night, for which she also wrote the score. Physical copies of "Die Happy" are available exclusively at the Delacorte Theater and will be available this fall on www.ShainaTaub.com.

Taub has also been tapped to write the lyrics for the upcoming musical adaptation of The Devil Wears Prada, with music by Elton John; and is currently writing a new musical about Alice Paul and the American women's suffrage movement in the decade leading up to the passage of the 19th amendment, among many other current projects.
