Grass reunites Jacobs-Jenkins with Sarah Benson, who directed An Octoroon.

Oscar winner Daniel Kaluuya (Get Out) will make his New York stage debut in Grass, a new play by Branden Jacobs-Jenkins.
Grass, running February 19-March 28, is a production of Park Avenue Armory in partnership with National Black Theatre. It will be directed by Sarah Benson.
The play follows a mother and son (Kaluuya) on a road trip through the American south, imagining encounters with figures like Walt Whitman and Martin Luther King Jr. Full casting will be announced at a later date.
Benson’s creative team includes Mimi Lien (sets), Jane Cox and Stacey Derosier (lighting), Bray Poor (sound), Enver Chakartash (costumes), Cookie Jordan (wigs and makeup), and Jeremy Chernick (special effects).
