Roundabout to Hold Glass Menagerie Video Contest for NYC Public School Students
Students are invited to create a 2-5 minute video of a scene from The Glass Menagerie, which may take the form of a dramatic reading, an acted scene or a creative interpretation. Submissions must be uploaded to the entrant's own YouTube or Vimeo.com account, and the link should be sent to [email protected] along with the school's name and address; teacher's name, contact phone number, and e-mail; class title and number of students in the class; names of students in the video; and what act/scene number the video is portraying.
The Grand Prize is a class field trip to see the Roundabout's The Glass Menagerie, a backstage tour and a 2-hour pre-show workshop led by a Roundabout teaching artist at the theatre. There will also be five runner-up prizes, featuring a show poster autographed by the cast, and the video entry submissions will also be posted on the Roundabout website.
