Carter, Converse, DeGuzman, et al. Join Hartford Stage’s Our Town

Additional casting has been announced for Hartford Stage’s upcoming production of Thornton Wilder’s Our Town, to be directed by Gregory Boyd, which will run August 30-September 30.

In addition to previously announced star Hal Holbrook as the Stage Manager, the cast will include Ross Bickell (Dr. Gibbs), Ginna Carter (Emily Webb), Frank Converse (Mr. Webb), Robert Hannon Davis (Constable Warren), Josie DeGuzman (Mrs. Gibbs), Annalee Jeffries (Mrs. Webb), Nafe Katter (Professor Willard/Joe Stoddard), and Noble Shropshire (Simon Stimson). Complete casting will be announced shortly.

Hartford Stage’s 2007-2008 season will begin with a new production of Eve Ensler’s The Good Body (July 10-29), to be followed by Jeremy B. Cohen’s production of Mahalia — A Gospel Musical (August 2-19). In 2008, Tony Award winner Elizabeth Ashley will star in Jeremy Sams’ Zerline’s Tale, directed by Michael Wilson (January 10-February 10), followed by Lydia Diamond’s adaptation of Toni Morrison’s The Bluest Eye (February 21-March 23), Theresa Rebeck’s The Scene (April 3-May 4), and Academy Award winner Olympia Dukakis in Tennessee Williams’ The Milk Train Doesn’t Stop Here Anymore (May 15-June 15).
