Daniel Breaker Will Join Broadway's The Book of Mormon in February

Tony nominee Daniel Breaker will return to Broadway this February to take on the role of Mafala Hatimbi in The Book of Mormon at the Eugene O'Neill Theatre. Breaker announced the news on his Twitter feed. No information about his stint in the acclaimed musical has been confirmed by the show's press representatives.

Breaker received a 2008 Tony nomination for his performance in Passing Strange. He has also been seen on Broadway in Well, Cymbeline, Shrek The Musical, and The Performers. Off-Broadway, his credits include Love's Labour's Lost and By the Way, Meet Vera Stark.

Written by Trey Parker, Matt Stone, and Robert Lopez, The Book of Mormon currently stars Nic Rouleau, Ben Platt, Syesha Mercado, Matt Loehr, Michael Potts, Lewis Cleale, and Brian Tyree Henry. The musical, about two Mormon missionaries who get more than they bargained for when they're sent to AIDS-ravaged Uganda, won 2011 Tony Awards for Best Musical, Best Original Score, and Best Book, among others.
