The Guthrie Theater has announced the full cast and creative team for its upcoming production of Neil Simon’s The Sunshine Boys, running July 7-September 2 on the Wurtele Thrust. Gary Gisselman will direct.

In The Sunshine Boys, Al Lewis and Willie Clark, a pair of crabby, retired vaudeville comedians, are persuaded to reunite after 11 years apart – despite the fact that they hate each other.

The production will feature real-life friends Raye Birk and Peter Michael Goetz as Lewis and Clark and a special cameo from improvisational comedian and Brave New Workshop founder Dudley Riggs as Sketch Patient. The cast will also include Robert O. Berdahl (Ben Silverman), Nathaniel Fuller (Television Director), Jennifer Maren (Sketch Nurse), Greta Oglesby (Registered Nurse), and Samuel Finnegan Pearson (Eddie).

The design team will be comprised of John Arnone (set and costume design), Don Darnutzer (lighting design), and Reid Rejsa (sound design).
