Olivier nominee Alistair McGowan, best known for his television work on The Big Impression, will take over Everett's role of Henry Higgins in the show, which is scheduled to run through September 3. Philip Prowse has directed the production, which also features Kara Tointon, Diana Rigg, Michael Feast and Peter Eyre.
As previously reported, Tony Award winner Tom Stoppard is adapting Parade's End, which will also star Benedict Cumberbatch and Rebecca Hall. Based on the series of books by Ford Madox Ford, the five-part miniseries will be set against the backdrop of World War I and tells the story of a complex and destructive love triangle among a conservative English aristocrat (Cumberbatch), his beautiful but cruel socialite wife (Hall), and a vibrant young suffragette.
