Les Miserables 25th Anniversary Concert with Nick Jonas, Lea Salonga, et al. to Be Broadcast Globally

The two-performance 25th anniversary concert of Les Miserables, to be offered at 1:30pm and 7pm at London’s O2 arena on October 3 will be broadcast via satellite to movie houses around the globe.

On the day of the event, the concert will be seen in cinemas throughout the U.K., Ireland, Denmark, Norway and Germany. There will also be encore broadcasts in Canada on October 4 and in Australia on October 21. Additional broadcast dates and locations will be announced shortly.

The principal company for the performances, as previously announced, will include Alfie Boe (Jean Valjean), Nick Jonas (Marius), Norm Lewis (Javert), Matt Lucas (Thenardier), Lea Salonga (Fantine), Jenny Galloway (Madame Thenardier), Camilla Kerslake (Cosette), Ramin Karimloo (Enjolras), and Samantha Barks (Eponine).

The concert will also feature a company of 300 which will be comprised of members of the casts of the production currently running at the Queen’s Theatre and the New 25th Anniversary Production which is touring the U.K. and will play the Barbican in London this fall, as well as members from the original 1985 London cast.

The creative team for the concert will include Andreane Neofitou (original costumes), Christine Rowland (additional costumes), Patrick Woodroffe and Paule Constable (lighting design) and Mick Potter (sound design).
