Nick Payne's two-handed drama Constellations has joined Steppenwolf Theatre's summer lineup. The Chicago premiere production will run from May 26-July 3 in the Upstairs Theatre. The show's official press opening is set for June 1.

Tony Award nominee Jon Michael Hill (CBS' Elementary, Superior Donuts) will star as Roland, the part originated on Broadway last season by Jake Gyllenhaal. Casting for the role of Marianne (played on Broadway by Tony nominee Ruth Wilson) will be announced at a later date.

With direction by Steppenwolf artistic producer Jonathan Berry, Constellations explores the relationship between Roland, a beekeeper, and Marianne, a quantum physicist, through the concept of the multiverse theory, where several scenarios can coexist at the same time.
