Wayne Brady celebrated his Broadway return as fabulous drag queen Lola in the Tony-winning musical Kinky Boots on December 1 at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre. Brady joined the cast on November 21, replacing original star Billy Porter.

Best known for his role on the improv comedy series Whose Line Is It Anyway?, Brady is returning to Broadway for the first time in over a decade since making his debut as Billy Flynn in the cast of Chicago. Brady also played Collins in the 2010 Neil Patrick Harris-directed Rent at the Hollywood Bowl. Last year he starred in the Pasadena Playhouse production of Kiss Me Kate.

Inspired by the 2005 British film of the same title, Kinky Boots features a Tony-winning score by Cyndi Lauper and a book by Harvey Fierstein. The musical tells the story of Charlie Price, the owner of a failing shoe factory who realizes that a sassy drag queen named Lola has the key to the business' success.
