Summer: The Donna Summer Musical Announces Digital Lottery

Summer: The Donna Summer Musical has announced that a limited number of $40 same-day tickets will be available via a digital lottery for select performances, starting May 25.

The lottery will open each morning at 8am and close at 11am for matinee performances and 3pm for evening performances. Winners will be notified soon after the drawing closes and will have 60 minutes to pay for tickets online via credit card.

Lottery tickets must be picked at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre 30 minutes before the performances. Photo ID is required for pickup. Seat locations and number of tickets awarded are subject to availability. Some seats may be partial-view.

LaChanze, Ariana DeBose, and Storm Lever play Donna Summer at different ages in the bio-musical. The rest of the principal cast includes Aaron Krohn, Ken Robinson, and Jared Zirilli.

The ensemble includes Angelica Beliard, Mackenzie Bell, Kaleigh Cronin, Kimberly Dodson, Anissa Felix, Drew Wildman Foster, Kendal Hartse, Afra Hines, Jenny Laroche, Wonu Ogunfowora, Rebecca Riker, Christina Acosta Robinson, Jessica Rush, and Harris M. Turner. Aurelia Michael and Jody Reynard are swings.

Summer features a book by Colman Domingo, Robert Cary, and Des McAnuff, with songs by Donna Summer, Giorgio Moroder, Paul Jabara, and others. Des McAnuff directs, with choreography by Sergio Trujillo, music supervision by Ron Melrose, scenic design by Robert Brill, costumes by Paul Tazewell, lighting by Howell Binkley, sound by Gareth Owen, and projections by Sean Nieuwenhuis.
