The Tony-winning Broadway revival of Once on This Island has added a special benefit performance for the Actors Fund, scheduled for Wednesday, October 3, at 8pm at the Circle in the Square Theatre.

Directed by Tony nominee Michael Arden with choreography by Camille A. Brown, Once on This Island tells the story of Ti Moune, a fearless peasant girl who falls in love with a wealthy boy from the other side of the island. When their divided cultures threaten to keep them apart, Ti Moune, guided by the island gods, sets out on a remarkable quest to reunite with the man who has captured her heart.

The musical is written by the Tony Award-winning team of Lynn Ahrens (book and lyrics) and Stephen Flaherty (music), and based on the novel My Love, My Love by Rosa Guy. Originally produced on Broadway in 1990, the revival earned eight 2018 Tony nominations, winning for Best Revival of a Musical.

The cast currently features Loren Lott as Ti Moune, Isaac Powell as Daniel, Darlesia Cearcy as Erzulie, Merle Dandridge as Papa Ge, Quentin Earl Darrington as Agwe, Alex Newell as Asaka, Boise Holmes as Tonton Julian, and Kenita R. Miller as Mama Euralie.
