Lisa Brescia Will Return to Broadway in Dear Evan Hansen

Broadway veteran Lisa Brescia (Wicked) will join the company of the Tony Award-winning musical Dear Evan Hansen as Heidi Hansen on August 7, succeeding original cast member Rachel Bay Jones, who plays her final performance on August 5 at the Music Box Theatre.
The current cast of Dear Evan Hansen includes Taylor Trensch, Laura Dreyfuss, Jennifer Laura Thompson, Michael Park, Alex Boniello, Sky Lakota-Lynch, Phoenix Best, Michael Lee Brown, Garrett Long, Olivia Puckett, Ben Ross, Asa Somers, Nicole Van Giesen, Diamond Essence White, and Dan Macke.
With a Tony-winning score by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, and a Tony-winning book by Steven Levenson, Dear Evan Hansen is described as follows: "A letter that was never meant to be seen, a lie that was never meant to be told, a life he never dreamed he could have. Evan Hansen is about to get the one thing he's always wanted: a chance to finally fit in."
Dear Evan Hansen opened on December 4, 2016, at the Music Box Theatre and earned six Tony Awards including Best Musical, Best Book, and Best Original Score.
