Jessica Phillips has been cast as Heidi Hansen in the first national tour of Dear Evan Hansen. Phillips's previous Broadway credits include Next to Normal, Priscilla Queen of the Desert, Leap of Faith, and The Scarlet Pimpernel, and she also played Pippa Cox on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. She joins the previously announced Ben Levi Ross as Evan Hansen. Additional casting will be announced at a later date.

Dear Evan Hansen will launch in October at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts. The tour will go on to play more than 50 cities over a two-year period, including Los Angeles (Ahmanson Theater), San Francisco (the Curran), Las Vegas (the Smith Center), Chicago (Oriental Theatre), Atlanta (the Fox Theatre), Boston (the Boston Opera House), and more. In addition, Dear Evan Hansen will launch its first international production in Canada in March 2019 at Toronto's Royal Alexandra Theatre.

With a Tony-winning score by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, and a Tony-winning book by Steven Levenson, Dear Evan Hansen is described as follows: "A letter that was never meant to be seen, a lie that was never meant to be told, a life he never dreamed he could have. Evan Hansen is about to get the one thing he's always wanted: a chance to finally fit in."
