Lin-Manuel Miranda's Hamilton will hold auditions in Puerto Rico ahead of the musical's January 2019 opening in San Juan, producers have announced.

The casting call is for all companies of the musical, including Puerto Rico, Broadway, Chicago, and touring productions. Hamilton is seeking male and female singers with the ability to rap, and dancers with extensive training in all dance disciplines, ages 20s-30s.

The open audition for singers will be held on Wednesday, June 13, at University of Puerto Rico's main campus in the Río Piedras section of San Juan. The call for dancers will be held by appointment only. Click here to sign up for an audition time.

Miranda will reprise his role as Alexander Hamilton for the three-week Puerto Rico engagement, which runs January 8-27, 2019, at Teatro UPR. Additional casting and information for Hamilton's engagement in Puerto Rico will be announced at a future date.

With book, music, and lyrics by Miranda, direction by Thomas Kail, choreography by Andy Blankenbuehler, and music direction and orchestrations by Alex Lacamoire, Hamilton is based on Ron Chernow's biography of Founding Father Alexander Hamilton. The musical tells the story of Alexander Hamilton, an immigrant from the West Indies who became George Washington's right-hand man during the Revolutionary War, and was the new nation's first Treasury Secretary. The musical won 11 Tony Awards including Best Musical, Score, Book of a Musical, Direction of a Musical, Choreography, and Orchestrations.
