MJ Rodriguez, Kathryn Gallagher, and More Set for ExtraOrdinary at A.R.T.

The concert production will celebrate the theater’s history of musical theater productions.

American Repertory Theater has announced casting for ExtraOrdinary, a cabaret retrospective celebrating the last 10 years of musical theater presented by the company. The limited run takes place November 16-30 under the direction of Diane Paulus.

The company will include stars from past A.R.T. productions: Melody Betts (Witness Uganda), Kathryn Gallagher (Jagged Little Pill), Terrence Mann (Pippin), Brandon Michael Nase (The Black Clown), Bryonha Marie Parham (Porgy and Bess), MJ Rodriguez (Burn All Night), and Matthew James Thomas (Pippin).

The creative team includes Nancy Harrington (associate director), Lance Horne (musical director), Abbey O'Brien (choreography), Jason Sherwood (scenic design), Emilio Sosa (costume design), Jeanette Oi-Suk Yew (lighting and projection design), Jonathan Deans (sound design), Julie Baldauff (production stage manager), and Taylor Brennan (assistant stage manager).

The ExtraOrdinary cast will be joined nightly by a special guest from past A.R.T. musicals. Appearances will not be announced in advance.
