The company of Arena Stage's production of the classic musical My Fair Lady will be led by Benedict Campbell as Henry Higgins, Manna Nichols as Eliza Doolittle, and Nicholas Rodriguez as Freddy Eynsford-Hill. Molly Smith will direct the production, which will perform on the Fichandler Stage, November 2-January 6.
With book and lyrics by Alan Jay Lerner and music by Frederick Loewe, this musical adaptation of George Bernard Shaw's Pygmalion tells of a Cockney flower girl who learns elocution, and changes the lives of those around her.
The cast will also feature Thomas Adrian Simpson as Colonel Pickering, Sherri L. Edelen as Mrs. Pearce, Catherine Flye as Mrs. Higgins, Benjamin L. Horen as Zoltan Karpathy, James Saito as Alfred Doolittle, Rayanne Gonzales as Mrs. Eynsford-Hill, Kurt Boehm as Jamie, and Ronald Duncan as Harry.
The ensemble will include Bev Appleton, Lucia Daisog, Dean Andre de Luna, Erin Driscoll, Jennifer Irons, Adam Jepsen, Robert Mintz, Jesse Palmer, Jobari Parker-Namdar, Joe Peck, Sade Simmons, Kim Willes, and Hannah Willman, with swings Jessica Hartman and Victor J. Wisehart.
The creative team will include Daniel Pelzig (choreographer), Paul Sportelli (musical director), Judith Bowden (costume designer), Jock Munro (lighting designer), and Donald Eastman (set designer).
