Florida Repertory Theatre's final show in its 2011-2012 season will be Charles Ludlam's The Mystery of Irma Vep, a spoof of classic melodrama, to run May 1-20 with an opening on May 4.

The Mystery of Irma Vep brings a whole host of gothic melodramatic characters to wacky life onstage - from sympathetic werewolves to Egyptian mummy princesses. As Lord Edgar Hillcrest and Lady Enid try to solve the mystery of Irma Vep, they find that life is anything but normal in their spooky English manor house.

The production stars Mark Chambers and Brad DePlanche - both of whom are making their fourth appearance with Florida Rep this season.

Chris Clavelli will direct the production, with the creative team including set designer Richard Crowell, lighting designer Matthew McCarthy, costume supervisor Roberta Malcolm, and sound designer Kate Smith.
