Berkeley Repertory Theatre is to present An Iliad, Denis O'Hare and Lisa Peterson's new adaptation of Robert Fagles' translation of Homer's original work, October 12-November 11 on the Thrust Stage. Obie Award-winner Peterson will direct.

In this production of An Iliad, the story of swords and shields, broken hearts and broken oaths, and the bonds of friendship and family, is told by an old man who's seen too much.

Henry Woronicz stars as The Poet. He will be accompanied by bassist Brian Ellingsen.

The design team, who will reunite from the award-winning Off-Broadway production, features Rachel Hauck (set design), Marina Draghici (costume design), Scott Zielinski (lighting design), and Mark Bennett (original music and sound design).
