Will Burton to Join Matt Doyle in Something Rotten! at the Muny

The Muny has announced the full cast for its premiere production of the musical comedy Something Rotten!, closing out the Muny’s 108th season. The metatheatrical mashup of 16th-century Shakespeare and 21st-century Broadway runs August 17-23.

Will Burton joins the cast in the principal role of Nigel Bottom. As previously announced, the production also stars Tony winner Matt Doyle as Nick Bottom, Jacob Dickey as Shakespeare, Bryonha Marie as Bea, Elizabeth Teeter as Portia, Lara Teeter as Brother Jeremiah, Adam Heller as Shylock, Jen Cody as Nostradamus, Gary Glasgow as Lord Clapham/Master of the Justice, and DeMarius R. Copes as Minstrel.

Rounding out the cast are Lawrence Alexander, Matt Allen, Darien Crago, Aaron Patrick Craven, Kristen Smith Davis, Johnny Duvelson, Michael Harp, Sean Harrison Jones, Ryan Kasprzak, David Paul Kidder, Carina-Kay Louchiey, Spencer Davis Milford, Lizz Picini, Daniel Plimpton, Renée Reid, Allysa Shorte, and Caitlin Stebelman.

The company will be joined by the Muny Kids and Teens Youth Ensemble.

Rob Ruggiero directs the production. The creative team also includes choreograher Parker Esse, music director/conductor Anne Shuttlesworth, scenic designer Edward E. Haynes Jr., costume designer DW (based on the original Broadway designs by Gregg Barnes), lighting designer Rob Denton, sound designer Joshua Hummel, video designer Camilla Tassi, and wig designer J. Jared Janas.
