Michael Cerveris, Heidi Rodewald and Stew will take part in the Public Theater’s next Public Forum event, to be held on Monday, February 27 at 9:30pm. The public conversation is being held in tandem with the Public Lab production of The Total Bent.

The artists will be discussing their work in the recording studio and what happens when the worlds of theater and rock collide.

Directed by Joanna Settle, The Total Bent centers on a black gospel prodigy from down South and a white music producer from South London who meet in a fantastical recording studio, as they both desperately seek their own versions of transcendence, salvation, and a hit record.

The company features Kenny Brawner (Deacon), Eddie R. Brown III (Abee), David Cale (Byron), Vondie Curtis-Hall (Joe Roy), Harriett D. Foy (Your Imaginary Friend), William Jackson Harper (Marty Boy), Damian Lemar Hudson (Deacon), and Julian Rozzell (Andrew).

The creative team includes scenic designer Andrew Lieberman, costume designer Gabriel Berry, lighting designer Adam Silverman, and sound designers Obadiah Eaves and Acme Sound Partners.
