The York Theatre Company will kick off its 2013-2014 season on October 28 with a one-night concert production of Joe Masteroff and Edward Thomas's historical musical about Henry VIII, Six Wives. David Green will direct the event, which will have music direction by Dennis Buck.

Six Wives is the story of Henry VIII and the six women he married: Anne Boleyn, Anne of Cleves, Katherine Howard, Katherine of Aragon, Jane Seymour, and Katherine Parr. This telling of the story reexamines Henry VIII's historical image from a modern-day perspective, with two women playing all six wives.

The cast will include Nick Wyman (Catch Me If You Can), Claybourne Elder (Bonnie and Clyde), Judy Kaye (Nice Work If You Can Get It), Alexandra Silber (Master Class), and Alexander Gemignani (The People in the Picture).
