On Monday night, Transport Group hosted a special 40th anniversary celebration of the groundbreaking play The Boys in the Band at the Lucille Lortel Theatre. Here's playwright Mart Crowley (center) flanked by original stars Laurence Luckinbill and Peter White.

Transport Group artistic director Jack Cummings III organized the event and directed a star-studded staged reading of the play.

Broadway favorite Barrett Foa played the role of Cowboy in the reading.

Former Tony Award nominee Malcolm Gets and pal Norm Lewis -- on his night off from The Little Mermaid -- played the roles of Donald and Bernard.

Patrick Boll and Manoel Felciano played Hank and Alan.

Jonathan Hammond and downtown favorite David Greenspan co-starred as Michael and Harold.

On Monday night, Jim Caruso's Cast Party at Birdland proved to be the hottest place in town, thanks in part to legendary singers LaLaBrooks and Liza Minnelli, who wowed the crowd with their vocals.

Speaking of legends, Oscar winner Kirk Douglas and his wife Anne caught the Tony-winning revival of Gypsy on Saturday night.

On Friday, Second Stage held its annual, invitation-only New Works Festival, featuring plays from the Time Warner Commissioning Program. Among the participants was Tony winner Lillias White.

Here's playwright Betty Shamieh and former M*A*S*H* star Jamie Farr, who returns to Off-Broadway next month in Flamingo Court.

Tony winner Ann Duquesnay and Utkarsh Ambudkar, who will star next month in Second Stage's Animals Out of Paper, were among the actors on hand.

Here's the always fabulous Liza Colon-Zayas, last seen in LAByrinth's The Little Flower of East Orange.

The great Terrence Mann, star of such Broadway megahits as Cats and Les Miserables, was another valued participant.

Tom Kitt, the composer of Second Stage's recent hit musical Next to Normal, was in the house.

Finally, here's the wonderful Tony-winning actress Adriane Lenox.
