The 2014 Tony Awards Will Be Broadcast Live on CBS From Radio City Music Hall

A date for the ceremony has been set.

The 68th Annual American Theatre Wing Tony Awards will air on CBS on Sunday, June 8, 2014, live from Radio City Music Hall in New York. The Tony Awards, which honors theater professionals for achievement on Broadway, has been broadcast on CBS since 1978. The Tony Awards is presented by The Broadway League and the American Theatre Wing. The television broadcast will air from 8:00pm-11:00pm.

The cutoff date for Tony Awards eligibility will be Thursday, April 24, 2014, for all Broadway shows opening in the 2013-2014 season. Productions that meet all other eligibility requirements and open on or before this date are considered for 2014 Tony Award nominations.

The nominations for the 2014 Tony Awards will be announced live on Tuesday, April 29, from New York.

Big winners at the 2013 Tony Awards included new musical Kinky Boots and new play Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike.

A limited number of tickets to the 2014 Tony Awards will be made available for purchase. Tickets will go on sale beginning April 30, 2014.
