Broadway’s 2012-2013 Tony Award Winners Are Announced!

Kinky Boots, Pippin, Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike, and Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? are the big winners.

The 2013 Tony Award winners were announced live on Sunday, June 9 from Radio City Music Hall. The Harvey Fierstein-Cyndi Lauper collaboration, Kinky Boots, took Best Musical; Diane Paulus’ circus-infused production of the Stephen Schwartz-Roger O. Hirson favorite, Pippin, won Best Revival of a Musical; Christopher Durang’s Chekhov-inspired comedy, Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike, took the prize for Best Play; and the recent production of Edward Albee’s Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? won Best Revival of a Play.
