Krysten Ritter to Star in Neil LaBute’s The Heart of the Matter at MCC Theater

Stage and screen star Krysten Ritter will head the cast of MCC Theater’s benefit presentation of Neil LaBute’s group of short plays, The Heart of the Matter, to take place at 7pm, June 13-16 at the Lucille Lortel Theatre. Carolyn Cantor will direct the production. Additional casting will be announced shortly.


LaBute’s many plays include reasons to be pretty, The Shape of Things, Wrecks, Some Girl(s), and Fat Pig.


Ritter appeared Off-Broadway in All New People. She currently stars on ABC’s Don’t Trust the B—- in Apt. 23 and co-starred on AMC’s Breaking Bad.


Proceeds from the evening will support MCC Theater’s Playwrights’ Coalition program, free PlayLab reading series and literary development activities.
