Raven-Symoné will make her Broadway debut as Deloris Van Cartier in the musical, Sister Act, playing at the Broadway Theatre, beginning Tuesday, March 27. She replaces original star Patina Miller, who will play her final performance on March 18.

Raven-Symoné is perhaps best known for her work on Emmy-nominated comedy series, That's So Raven, which aired 2003-2007. For her work on the show, she received three NAACP Image Awards for Outstanding Performance in a Youth/Children's Series/Special and two Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards for Favorite Television Actress.

Among her many other credits are such series as Kim Possible, American Dad!, and State of Georgia. In addition, she has provided the voice for Indessa for several animated Tinkerbell movies. The performer has also released numerous studio albums including Here's to New Dreams, Undeniable, and This Is My Time.

Jerry Zaks has directed the musical, based on the hit film of the same name, which tells the story of disco diva Deloris Van Cartier, who is put in protective custody in a convent after witnessing her gangster boyfriend and his cronies commit a murder. The show features an original score by Alan Menken and Glenn Slater and a book by Cheri and Bill Steinkellner and Douglas Carter Beane.
