Lorna Luft to Guest Star in Broadway Meets Hollywood — In Concert

Lorna Luft will be the special guest star in Broadway Meets Hollywood — In Concert, to be held at the Alex Theatre in Glendale on September 16 at 7:30pm and at the Kavli Theatre at the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza, on September 19, at 4pm.

Vocalists will also include Tobi Foster and Blake Ginther. The show will also feature Harmonica virtuoso Bernie Fields, and the New West Pops Singers under the direction of Rick Logan. Steven Goldstein will serve as artistic director/conductor of the concert. Colin R. Freeman will serve as Lorna Luft’s music director/conductor.

The concert will be the debut of New West Pops, a new series from the New West Symphony. A portion of the proceeds from this event will benefit the New West Symphony’s music education and outreach programs. A portion of tickets to the concert at the Kavli Theatre will also benefit AIDS Project Los Angeles.

The Pops will later present A Soulful Holiday Celebration With American Idol Star Elliott Yamin, on December 8, 2010 at the Alex Theatre and December 9, at the Kavli Theatre at the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza.
