John Barrowman will take over the role of Albin/Zaza in the London revival of La Cage Aux Folles, now at the Playhouse Theater, beginning September 14, according to www.whatsonstage.com.

The Jerry Herman-Harvey Fierstein musical is directed by Terry Johnson, and recently received two Olivier Awards, including Best Musical Revival. The current cast features Roger Allam, Philip Quast, Paula Wilcox, Jason Pennycooke, Iain Mitchell, Alicia Davies, Stuart Neal, and Tracie Bennett.

Barrowman's many stage credits include Company, Anything Goes, and A Few Good Men. He is well known in the UK for his TV appearances in Torchwood, Doctor Who, How Do You Solve a Problem Like Maria?, Any Dream Will Do and I'd Do Anything.
