David Daniels to Perform Glimmerglass Opera Benefit Concert

Countertenor David Daniels will perform a benefit concert for Glimmerglass Opera in the company’s Alice Busch Opera Theater in Cooperstown, New York, on Friday, July 30 at 3:30pm.

Daniels will perform works by Reynaldo Hahn, Charles Gounod, George F. Handel, Hector Berlioz and Steven Kohn. He will be accompanied by pianist Kevin Miller.

Daniels has performed leading roles both nationally and internationally, including at the Metropolitan Opera, Lyric Opera of Chicago, San Francisco Opera, Santa Fe Opera, Washington National Opera, Houston Grand Opera, Teatro alla Scala, Bayerische Staatsoper, Covent Garden and Glyndebourne Festival. At Glimmerglass, he has appeared in L’Incoronazione di Poppea (1994), Tamerlano (1995) and Partenope (1998).
