Tony Award winner Ben Vereen has been named Co-Artistic Director of Tampa’s Broadway Theatre Project.

The actor began his relationship with the Broadway Theatre Project when Ann Reinking began the company in 1991, and has served as mentor and teacher for the Project for years. He will continue in that capacity, and along with co-artistic director Deb McWaters, he intends to steer the school in a new artistic direction while endeavoring to create young performers who will possess strong and, healthy minds while honing their artistic skills.
