Synopsis:
Stunning is the story sixteen-year old Lily who lives a cloistered life with her much older husband in a small, ethnic Brooklyn community. Soon an unlikely relationship with her enigmatic new African-American maid Blanche opens up her world to new opportunities - but at a big price. Inspired by A Streetcar Named Desire, David Adjmi's daring and gripping new work shifts from caustic satire to intense melodrama as it mines the social and economic traps of the American Dream and the universal desire to fit in.
